The Very First Magazine 2006 is a project from Milkxhake (Hong Kong) commissioned by Antalis. The brief was to design a calendar and they immediately came up with the idea of publishing a series of 12 books that function as a visual diary for each month. Hence, 12 young designers, artists and creative units from Asia Pacific Region were invited to participate.

Hence, 12 young designers, artists and creative units from Asia Pacific Region were invited to participate.
Joseph Foo and team chose to design for the month of April. It is the 4th month of the Roman calendar and in Chinese 4 also means death. Therefore, he uses this opportunity to express different perspectives of death in hope to replace the fear of death with the will to live life fully.
